4th Grade

I have been teaching for twelve years, nine of those years in 4th grade. I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of the Southwest, in Elementary and Secondary education with an emphasis in Language Arts. I also have a Master's degree from Eastern New Mexico University, in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading. I also have an Administration license.
During the 2016-2017 school year I worked with the LearnZillion New Mexico Dream Team. On the Dream Team I was a part of a 40 teacher cohort who designed and developed literacy units for the teachers of New Mexico. My lessons were published as a part of the LearnZillion New Mexico Dream Team website.
This current school year 2017-2018 I am a part of a 26 teacher cohort working with the current Secretary of Education in New Mexico, Christopher Ruszkowski. The Secretary Teacher Advisory (STA) cohort will meet in Albuquerque or Santa Fe quarterly to discuss issues that are relevant to our schools and most importantly to our students. I am privileged to be the Hobbs Schools representative on the STA.
I am looking forward to working with your students.

Parents, please join our class Facebook page to stay up to date on all of the fun activities happening in our class.
